"A vessel for "filmic time" and "filmic space", the building's perimeter is bottle-shaped with the mouth open to the lagoon towards Venice. The cinemas interlock within this frame, creating essential crevices and fissures that allow sunlight to the water below. In section, like interlocking hands, the cinemas turn slightly, changing their interior and exterior aspects of space."
